We at L'Erbolario also wanted to respect the sacredness of this tree and the importance that its processing has in African society. The butter used for the Shea range is sustainably sourced and produced by local communities in Burkina Faso. The harvesting and processing of hazelnuts involves thousands of women, who not only traditionally have the privilege of "protecting" a sacred plant, but who thanks to this occupation can also actively contribute to the maintenance and needs of the family.

It is therefore an eco-friendly Shea butter, the trade of which generates a positive impact on the entire society involved in harvesting and production, thus reducing poverty and ensuring a better future for all.
