Artichoke: Contains water, carbohydrates (inulin and fibre), caffeic acid derivatives (including chlorogenic acid), flavonoids, vitamins and minerals. It has a bitter taste, due to the presence of cymarin. In addition to the culinary field, it is also used to support liver function.
Milk thistle: It is a plant distributed mostly in areas close to the Mediterranean Sea, various active ingredients are extracted from its flowers, the main one being silymarin. It promotes the purification of the body and the functionality of the liver. It also has antioxidant activity.
Boldo: The leaves contain essential oils (cineole and ascaridol), flavonoids and alkaloids (boldina). Its ability to promote liver function was discovered by observing that goats that ate boldo leaves had no liver problems.
Dandelion: It is called "dandelion", for the toothed shape of the leaves, "soffione", for the woolly ball that contains the seeds, and "piscialetto", for its diuretic properties. It also promotes purifying functions, eliminating waste, and the correct functionality of the liver.
