Star anise is a drug obtained from an East Asian evergreen plant called Illicium verum. The fruits of this plant have a characteristic star shape and recall the scent and taste of anise despite having a peculiarly different essential oil. The properties of star anise are carminative and digestive, similarly to species such as fennel, anise and cumin.

NB: loose plants are packaged at the time of ordering in paper bags of 100 g or more (multiples of 100). For larger quantities (1 kg or more), contact by telephone before ordering. Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light.
