100% castor oil (ricinus communis) cold pressed, Tochopheryl

Soothing, regenerating and nourishing oil. Widely used to strengthen hair and eyelashes.

Seeds: Fatty oils and proteins, which include the poisonous toxin ricin
Castor oils: esters of ricinoleic acid

Shrub, annual herb or perennial tree with red or green leaves: the castor tree appears in many forms and changes its appearance depending on the habitat in which it grows. So far, around 20 different varieties are known which differ from each other in shape, colour, height and the spines of the seed capsule. Despite its variable shapes, the castor bean is easily recognizable by its large leaves, with palmate lamina, star-shaped, with 7-11 lobes, shiny dark green in color and by its elongated inflorescences. From August to October the inconspicuous yellow-green flowers open in a panicle-like inflorescence along the stem. The female flowers occupy the apex of the inflorescence and are distinguished by their red pistils in the center of the flower. The male flowers gather in the basal part of the inflorescence and are recognizable by their yellow stamens. The fruits are spiny capsules with three valves/compartments and contain three seeds with black-brown streaks. These seeds look like beans but are actually a deadly poison due to the presence of the toxin ricin!
However, the oil obtained by cold pressing castor seeds is not only safe for human consumption, but extremely useful for cosmetic and medicinal preparations.
