Calendula contains triterpenes, flavonoids, polysaccharides and is rich in carotenoids (carotenes and xanthophylls). Traditionally used orally in cases of dysmenorrhea, gastrointestinal disorders and colds.
Calendula (or marigold) is widely used as an ingredient in ointments and ointments to soothe skin redness and other dermatological problems.
