Liqueur based on elderberry flower distillate ( Sambucus nigra ) and infusion of different species of anise.
The particular formula of the ingredients: excellent quality alcohol, water from the fresh clear springs of the Ernici Mountains, very fine and highly soluble sugars, combinations of different species of anise and elderflower distillate, give it a unique, extremely pleasant, markedly distinct and aromatic not comparable to other products on the market.
“Sambuca Sarandrea” stands out because it is the result of a bouquet that has been tested for centuries and is best expressed thanks to the richness of the aromatic and therapeutic properties of the plants used.
The only Sambuca with the "Elderflower Distillate", a recipe handed down to posterity through a precious simplifier by the hand of a patient Carthusian herbalist and phytologist who carefully studied the "Podestas Herbarum et Usum Medendi" linking up to the Abbey of Montecassino, from which gave rise to the famous "Salernitana School".
“Sambuca Sarandrea” is therefore classified as “Old”, because it still uses the ancient Certosina formula, expertly dosed in each of its component elements.
In 1961, Pope John XIII, after having tasted our Sambuca, wanted to express his appreciation with an autographed writing with which he authorized the "Liquoreria Marco Sarandrea" to boast the title of "Supplier Company of the Vatican State".
